Jake's Pictures

These House Finches were harvesting the abundant seeds. A Dark-eyed Junco, posing perfectly. This is a scene from the creek west of Morden. It was taken a few weeks ago. The beavers had constructed a small dam here. I just had to post this even though the color has all left. This tree was putting on a spectacular show.

  2. Hi Ruth. Thanks for the comment about the Bittersweet. I just love it, and wait every Fall for those glorious berries to appear.
Your pictures are just beautiful. That red tree is so typical, and I hate to see them disappear. The creek shot is similar to the one behind our home with the beaver dam. Right now it has gotten washed away by high water, but I'm sure it will be back.
As for the snow, you can have all you want. We will be getting so much before winter is over. I am a weather watcher for a local TV station, and I keep track of the snowfall. Last year we got over 188" !
    Have a wonderful day.
