Siskins and Sunrise

I was editing some pictures from my point and shoot camera
and thought I would show a few of these.
These are taken through the window.
We have two of these feed bags and both are usually busy with birds. I had been trying to get some action shots. Here are some that worked out alright.
The last scene is a sunrise that greeted me
on January 16 as I was getting my bus ready for the day.
Take time to enjoy God's created world.

  2. It's fun to try and get the action of the pine siskins. They are always scraping at the feeders and flashing those beautiful yellow under patches of the wings. I like them alot! Beautiful sunrise..

I have one of those mesh bags--and need to get a couple more. The finches and siskins love those things..

  10. A sunrise like that is a good start to the day. I have only seen three Pine Siskins this year and always singly.

  13. Ruth, Maybe we DO have them around here. When we visited this ladies house up near the mountains I saw these sack feeders hanging and many little birds feeding. I'll post it. Great pictures. (My pictures wont be nearly as awesome as yours but you'll get the idea)

  17. Oh, how I wish I would have seen a few pine siskins this year. But so far I've only gotten my lesser goldfinches. And they are turning bright yellow in the past week or two. I guess I'll have to be satisfied with them (and housefinches, titmice, and chestnut-backed chickadees). ;o) I love your photos, Ruth. What an inspiring shot of the sunrise, too.
