Oh Happy Day!

Oh happy day!Yesterday Jake and I went to Winnipeg and came home
with some new lenses for our cameras.
These pictures are direct from the camera,no editing,
taken with my new Canon 100-400mm lens with Image Stabilization.
I am more than excited to use this lens,as I can see the images are much better than any I have done before.
The earth is the Lord's,and everything in it.

  6. Congrats, Ruth, on the new lens!!! I'm sure you will love them--especially getting good pictures of the birds from a distance!!!!

  7. I also use this same lens. Its not exactly light, especially on a 40D handheld, but you will love it :-)

  8. Your Header really pops! The photos you took are great. That lens should serve you well. I've often thought about buying another one of those - Having dropped mine did it no good.

  9. Congratulations, Ruth. As everyone else has said you will love it, and I concur. My daughter has that lens, too, and captures some of the most beautiful shots. I recently purchased the next size lens down (70-300mm IS) and really love it, too. It's much lighter in weight than the 100-400mm. As for quality, I think the 100-400mm is a little better.

  20. I have SERIOUS lens envy!! What model camera are you using? I think I am going to have to upgrade mine. My last posting shows my frustration at not being able to capture the photo of the heron that I might have, had I had better lenses to choose from!

    Beautiful photos!!!
