It's a Macro!

Guess who got a new toy?
Yes,I am now the proud owner of a Macro lens.
This will open up a whole new world of photography for me.
Here are a few of my shots from today. Above is a Goatsbeard. Wild Honeysuckle.
Up close and personal with a Lady Slipper.
Last but not least is Blue Flax.
All pictures were taken with a Tamron 90 mm,f 2.8 lens.
Oh God,who made the summer
And warmed the earth with beauty,
Warm our hearts with gratitude
And devotion to our duty.

  1. I know that you will make great use of this! What lovely flower centers. The macro lets you look so close without touching the flower with the camera :-) Helps my back a lot when I don't have to bend over so low!

  7. I haven't got a clue what everyone is talking about when it comes to cameras, LOL!! When hubby is gone for a while to help the kids in Pennsylvania, I'll have some time to maybe look around and see what kind of camera would be suitable for a novice like me!

Even if I don't know anything about cameras, I surely do LOVE flowers and birds and all these photos are totally a-m-a-z-i-n-g!! It's a joy to visit!

Thunderstorms have been threatening, but not following through on their threats! We really need a soft and gentle rain and are praying the Lord would be merciful and send the rains to soak the parched earth!
