A Time for Thanksgiving

I know that for many of you Thanksgiving is still a month away,
but for us here in Canada we are celebrating this weekend.
No matter what happens in my life,I still have so much to be thankful for.
The changing seasons is one of those things.

So far this year our colors are slow in showing up.
I do have a few pictures, especially of the Sumac in our yard.
I used my Macro lens on the Sumac pictures.
These apples are ready to be turned into delicious pies.
Sunlight turns these Foxtails into golden threads.
And I leave you with yet another picture of a Red-tailed Hawk.
The good green earth beneath our feet,
The air we breathe, the food we eat -
All these things and many more
Are things we should be thankful for.

  2. Great pictures Ruth. I can feel the chill in the air. Below freezing tonight. Don't think the leaves ae going to change this year...just fall off the trees. Happy Thanksgiving.

  6. Beautiful as usual. I really like the apple picture (I do apples in my kitchen). It has been a crazy week, but surely is finally looking like fall around here. I can't wait to get out and get some pictures. I am feeling withdrawal symptoms, from not using my camera!

Have to take YO for an MRI of his knee today, just to make sure there is no major damage to the ligaments or tendons. Hope that you have a great day!

  9. Happy Thanksgiving! I think as photographers we really notice all the lovely things that God blesses us with. Even when I am "down", I look around me and know that God has been good to me and that he always provides for my needs. That's something to be thankful for at all times. Beautiful photos!

  11. Such beautiful fall colors. We get a little bit of color here in SoCal, but not as much as in other areas.
