Prayer

I come to you,my blogging friends, requesting prayer. It was just 7 months ago that I said good-bye to my dear husband, and now his youngest sister, age 63,is battling the same cancer he had, pancreatic cancer.
Please pray for this lady, her husband and her adult son.
The pain is very raw at this time.
Actually Jake's whole family is reeling from this news,as we all have not finished grieving the loss of one so dear.
I thank-you in advance for your prayers and caring.

  27. Ruth, there is a young husband and father in our area who has survived pancreatic cancer for a couple of years now. I follow his progress on his CaringBridge page: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/danharhigh. He just posted a link to a short video that Mattress Firm has made about pancreatic cancer and featuring this man. Here's the link to the video: http://www.poptent.net/media/40047

I just thought you might be interested in his story.

  28. So very sorry to hear such awful news. Praying for you and his family. What a frightening time for his sister...may she know that there's power in prayer where two or more are gathered (and there are many here).

This is a beautiful picture, Ruth. Such detail and gorgeous dof. Thanks for sharing your camera/lens info with me. It was a big factor in my decision.

  29. That is very sad news, Ruth. You, Jake's sister and your entire family will be in the prayers of many as you deal with this. May He who brings peace that passes all understanding keep you enfolded in his arms. May He also provide healing.

This past weekend we remembered my father-in-law who passed into glory 7 years ago - he too fought pancreatic cancer, for 2 years.

  34. So sorry to hear that, Ruth. I did not know that you lost your husband such a very short time ago. I lost a friend to this same cancer and it was so hard to watch. Keeping you and your family in my prayers. (Love the photo too)

  35. I came across this post and got attentive to the praying sky-blue flower as I posted about it on my blog. I’m sorry to hear about your loss of loved husband. My 90-year-old mother recalls 20 years ago that the first year was the most hard for her remembering every passage of seasons they had shared. Your husband will be with you protecting and guiding. Let me pray for your sister-in-law and believe that she’ll be all right again. Keeping my fingers crossed.
