Seeing Beauty Everywhere

With snow on the ground here and the temperatures sitting around −15C/5F,fall is a memory.Thankfully I have a some pictures to help relive that memory.

All of today's pictures were taken on my yard.
You will also notice that I have added a Watermark,in hopes of making it  harder for anyone wishing to steal my images.

This shows a few leaves from the Amur Maples on my yard.

In wandering around the yard looking for photos,I saw the Peony leaves and noticed how pretty they looked.

The rest of the pictures all show the varied faces of the Amur Maples. I love how they light up with the sun.

Spotting a lone red leaf on the ground, was reason enough to get another picture.

A few orange or rust coloured leaves clinging to the twigs.
The gentle colours are pleasing to the eyes.

This coming week I am dong two presentations about my photography. I am nervous, but also excited to share this passion with others.
I have entitled my talks, Photography:The Art of Seeing Beauty Everywhere.

My post today is a good example of that.I decided to spend some time just walking on my yard and looking for beauty. All it takes is a little time and open eyes,to see beauty.
Let us all take time to really 'see' the beauty around us.

  4. Oh, how I wish I could come to hear your presentation! Will pray for the nervousness to leave and be replaced by confidence. You DO see beauty everywhere, capturing the tiniest of details in the best of light! It helps to have awesome equipment too and a natural knack for composition! Thanks for these lovely photos from around your place! Good idea about the watermark!

  6. Where are you doing the presentations, Ruth? A school, a photography class? How exciting! Are you used to doing this kind of thing? Pictures one and three are my absolute favorite, the light in the third one, and the light and background in the first. So gorgeous!! But they are all splendid!

  18. The leaves are beautiful. Yes Winter is approaching too fast this year. I'm so not ready for it. Abe is sitting in the living room, saying he's cold, so he brought out his small electric heater and set at his feet. It's raining and that makes everything seem colder than what it is. Temp says it's 57, but it feels colder. So dark you would think it was about 5pm rather then almost 3. I'm thankful though that this is rain and not snow. Happy Thanksgiving, in case I don't get back around for a while. Have been awfully slow getting around to blogs lately. Not sure what my problem is, I guess old age. LOL It's slowing me down.

  36. Gorgeous photos Ruth! Just beautiful. I missed the changing of the leaves here in Kentucky. I never took the time to go out and get some photos. I always kick myself after the leaves have fallen. Then I always say, "Next year, I'll definitely get some photos." Fortunately, last year I did get a few photos. I love spring and fall. My favorite times of year.
