In Memory

Once again I need to make a post in memory of a loved one.

This Peony is for Helen.

On Friday,January 6,2012,Jake's youngest sister slipped from the bonds of earth and joined her parents, brother and others at Heaven's throne.
The whole family was at the beside as she was ushered into Glory.
This was a lady who gave of herself constantly. She was more than my sister-in-law,she was my very good friend and in the last year or so also my support and help.
We will all miss her cheery smile and friendly ways.
One thing Helen did not like, was to have her picture taken,so I cannot show her smile to you,but I can see it in my mind.
Her husband Wayne and adult son Jared will feel the emptiness the most,so please remember to pray for them.

If I am not posting or even commenting during the next little while it is because I am busy with family activities and the funeral.
God gives strength as we need it.

  17. Gorgeous picture of the peony - your sister-inlaw would be pleased. God's grace is sufficient for the task and I know He will carry you through this time as well as and especially her husband and son. May they tangibly feel His arms of love doing just that. As for Helen, I rejoice for her that she has the better part - to be with Christ!

  22. Hi Ruth. I am back and trying to catch up on all I missed. I am so sad to hear about Jake's sister. I will pray for you and the rest of the family. I know it is also even harder because of Jake, as well. Such a beautiful flower in memory of her, really perfect if she did not like her photo being shown. My friend just died this week, also. This winter is not easy for you or I so far, but God knows all about it and it is in his hands. Blessings to you, my dear friend. I loved looking at your Christmas pictures. It has been very warm here, too.

  37. Our pastor (here down south) would say that Helen "has joined the church triumphant !" I think that's a beautiful way to look at passing on from this earthly existence.

But there's still the heartache of loss that must be borne. My condolences to you, Wayne, Jared and all the rest of the family. May God provide comfort.
