Remembering Mom and Dad

30 years ago today my Mom was promoted to Glory.
After all these years,I still miss her and wish I could talk with her again and tell her how much I really love her.
Dad went to join her on July 31,2001,so they are walking down those streets of gold together.
The little boy in Dad's arms is my son Steve, who is now all grown up with a daughter of his own.
The one consolation I have is that some day we will be together much longer than we have been apart.
I am looking forward to all those wonderful reunions.

  5. I was just talking to a freind today about heaven...We have so much to look forward to. I know my parents have only been there for about three years, but I still get that feeling of "Oh, I need to call mom and tell her that," and then realize my phone don't carry that far...but someday....

  18. You never get over the loss of someone you love so dearly. I found myself crying just the other day longing to see my dad, brother, and aunt (and other relatives, but especially them). Knowing I'll see them again is my only consolation.

  20. Reminds me of one of my favourite verses:

"When we've been there ten thousand years,
    Bright shining as the sun,
We've no less days to sing God's praise,
    Than when we first begun."

Great post Ruth. God bless you.
