More iPhone Pictures

Well, since spring has not shown up yet,you will have to endure some more phone pictures.
I am getting tired of seeing snow, but folks, that's all I can get right now,so here goes.

I will begin with a fun picture.I have mentioned it before, but this is a regular picture and then the water reflection is added with an App called Water My Photo. It is quite a cool app and works well on some pictures. Here is is somewhat unrealistic, but it is an interesting look.

Stepping outside one morning,on my way to work,I saw the sun peeking through the snow laden branches and liked what I saw.

I get tired of the snow by this time of year, but it does have a special beauty to it.Evergreen boughs weighed down with snow are especially beautiful.

This is a picture taken from on my driveway, looking south.Yes,there is a street behind that pile of snow. I have a pile like that on either side of the driveway.Needless to say,I pull out of my yard very carefully, inching my way forward,so as not to be hit by a vehicle coming down the street.
All of the above pictures have been taken on my yard.I am more than ready to see some grass and bare dirt, but that may be a while yet.

I do not recall where this picture was taken, but it probably doesn't matter. It was the sky that caught my attention.

Thought for Today:
Even in winter an isolated patch of snow has a special quality.

This thought is probably directed at me more than at anyone else. There really is a special beauty about winter.

  4. Beautiful snow pictures! That first one looks like the tree's 'hand' is reaching down to take another hand!

  5. I think that water app works very nicely with that snow-covered evergreen photo. The sky photo is awesome. You got way more snow than we did. Our biggest snowfall was about 10 inches, and that was just last week. It was gone within a few days.

  6. You have such beautiful photos of snow Ruth. I feel quite homesick for the surroundings of my early childhood and the pristine snow of Canadian woods.

  7. Yest there is indeed a special beauty about it. And winter looks especially beautiful when she's waving bye-bye. ;)

Your photos are wonderful, Ruth.. despite the long, lingering season.

  15. That IS an interesting water app. I'm not tired of snow yet (and your photos are wonderful) but we get less than you do. Ice and mud on pathways are what I dislike.

  16. These are fantastic, Ruth! I really love the reflection effect. :)

I am also getting sick of seeing snow everywhere. I haven't been taking many photos as a result. Hope to get back to it very soon!

  17. Ruth, I know you are sick and tired of snow, but I thank you for sharing these beautiful pics with us southerners. Snow is a rarity in these parts and I always marvel at its glorious, white beauty. For your sake, I do hope spring comes early and relieves you. I downloaded that Water My Pic app when you first talked about it. So fun! Love all your photos. :)

  18. Gorgeous snow pictures, Ruth. I have a similar one --and it looks like fingers covered with snow!!!!!

I can imagine how tired you must be getting of the snow. And to think--we haven't had much at all this year... Sigh!

    Hugs,

  20. Beautiful photos. I for one, do not tire of seeing your winter scenes, as that is certainly not something we see down here in s.e. FL. I'm sure I'd be tired of it though if I lived in it.

  21. Ruth, wonderful shots! But I must say, you can have all that snow!
But, according to my rain gauge, we have had 18 inches of rain since the beginning of January! And you can have some of that, if you want!!

  28. And i thought we had a lot of snow. Nothing to compare with this. And the snow that we did get is all gone. I think it should hit 50 today. Looking forward to spring. I especially like the snow on the tree reflections.

  29. I love looking at snow, but not in real life! BRR. Your IPhone photos are great!

  30. Love that Water My Photo effect! Your phone did a very nice job on your snow shots. We had some pretty good wind earlier in the week and all the tree branches are bare of snow now, but my driveway looks similar to yours, only your snow is cleaner and your driveway is shorter. Yes, I'm ready for some green grass too! I'm sure you'll see it before me.

  31. Yes, there really is a special beauty about winter! You've done it justice with your fabulous photos! Yes, there really is a special beauty about winter! Notice, how I have to say it again to convince myself???? BUT, yes BUT, does winter have to stay soooo long! We just got another ton of snow these last few days - at least where I live now, I don't need to shovel it!
