Memories

Memory is a precious thing.
Today I look back at many years of a wonderful life with the the man I love.
Jake came into my life in a quiet way and then made me complete.

Both pictures today are from trips which we took together with my parents.
My Dad took them and I have taken them from some very old slides,so the quality is less than perfect, but the memories are wonderful.

Walking hand in hand on the White Sands of New Mexico. Yes, I did have dark hair at one time, very long ago.

On this day,November 10,2010,God called this man to Glory. I miss him as much today as I ever did, maybe more. The comfort I get is in knowing that he is rejoicing and one day we will be together again, and at that time we will never have to part again.

Thank God for MEMORIES... Going through old photos is so much fun --and brings those memories out for the world to see.

  8. When we are left behind, all we have are the memories of the good times. I remember that hard time of parting for you so well as I was losing mine as well although physically he only passes away this year. Only God knows what you and I still have to do in this lifetime. God bless you my dear friend.

  14. Thinking of you today dear sweet Ruth! I think it is fabulous for you to share some of the old slides and memories with us! What a sweet couple walking along the beach. Our own memories become more intense I find. Sometimes there even pop some almost forgotten memories out of the archives and I rejoice that I can dust them off and enjoy them again. It's almost as if God says, "Here, remember this one?" Puts a smile on my face and gratitude into my heart. BIG BEAR HUG!!!

  15. Ruth, I am giving you a virtual hug right at this very moment. You know that I understand your grief because I too lost the love of my life 2 1/2 years ago. We are "sisters in grief". Bless you.
