More Manitoba Beauty

Once again,I take you to Lake Minniwasta, during the early fall of 2014.

This is a spot I don't visit very often,as it is the actual boat launch.Of course I don't have a boat, nor do I want one,but I still enjoy the beauty of this spot.

A walk along the shore of this lake can be so peaceful. This scene speaks peace to me.Of course I recall being there that morning and feeling the calm sweep over me as I walked along.

One small shrub put on a gorgeous display of color. The sunshine brought out it's beauty even more.

A few Milkweed pods were still clinging to their precious seeds, even as  the wind was trying hard to dislodge them.

A seldom used railroad track and a cluster of late blooming Asters made a great combination.

Those who walk with God always reach their destination.

  6. Just gorgeous. If I had to pick a favorite, it would be a toss up between the milkweed pod and the last one. I love those little purplish weeds that bloom in the fall...have taken many shots of those myself :)

  11. Hi Ruth, The more I see of your lake the more it reminds me of mine. Can you walk around it? If so, how far is it? It's about 3 miles (4.8 km) around Green Lake. Great quotation today! John

  13. Hi Friend, Just stopping by to say Happy Thanksgiving to you. Even in places where Thanksgiving is not celebrated (or celebrated on the 4th Thursday in November like ours is) —it can be a time for each of us to take time to thank God for our blessings and also not to forget the “Giving” in the word, ThanksGIVING. We all have lots of blessings —but many times, we ignore the giving part….Not just on Thanksgiving Day, but all of the time, please take time to contact family/friends just to say HI… And remember that a big SMILE can lift someone’s day…. Little things like that can really HELP..

Lovely place. It looks so peaceful.. I'd love to come and walk there with YOU.

    God Bless…
    Happy Thanksgiving.
    Hugs,
    Betsy
