Nashville,Tennessee,Part 4

I hope you are not getting sick and tired of all these pictures. I promise,I am almost done with the ones I plan to show now. I won't be sharing all my photos as that would be way too many.

Once again I ask you to join me at The Opryland Hotel.
The beauty of this place is astounding. This is all inside,so that makes it even better.,

This Poinsettia tree was standing in one of the lobbies.

I really like how this one turned out.I have the giant tree and the tiny one standing close together.

Still indoors,we have these pretty lamps, all decorated for Christmas.

I never did promise that all the pictures would be beautiful.I just had to get my picture taken with the Smoky Mountain Santa.I found out that this Santa happens to love Southern Gospel Music.

I was walking along inside and was impressed with the beauty of these shiny leaves.

At another place in the hotel was the area for the conference/ballrooms.I loved the lights and subdued decorations here.

Now we step outside to see what is on display there.
This huge manmade Christmas tree was amazing, especially from a distance.

Displayed on the front lawn is a larger than life sized Nativity scene.
It warmed my heart to see this so prominently displayed.

The angels were there to herald the birth of the Christ Child.

I was truly impressed to see this display. An open Bible with the birth of Christ as written in Luke chapter 2 was there, front and centre. Upon stepping out of the building one could hear this story being read from the pages of the Bible.

With all the talk of taking the Bible out of our courtrooms and schools, this was like a breath of fresh air. The Word of God will endure the test of time.

  2. I could never get tired of these awesome pictures. They are just wonderful, and things I have never seen before! I love finally getting a good close up of the huge poinsettia tree, And the gorgeous tree of lights with poinsettias around the bottom, all made of lights! Which one is prettier? They are both equally beautiful and so different from each other. You and Mr. Claus do make a nice couple, and you are also both wearing the same colors! The large nativity, angels, and bible, are so impressive! It is very hard to find a manger here amid all the lights, so I am glad this is so prominent. Seems many people think our Lord is a polar bear, or Mickey Mouse or Santa.I do hope you will be showing more!

  7. Loved your post dear Ruth, filled with lovely pictures. There was so much beauty to see there.

Love the picture of you and Santa. You were even color co-ordinated. :-)

That was great about the Nativity scene, with the Bible open to the scripture, and also that it was being spoken for all to hear. There's a song out and it says 'My God's not dead, He's surely alive, and He's living on the inside, roaring like a lion. Let hope arise and make the darkness hide...' The evil one wants to do away with all reminders of God and what He did/does for us.

Thank you Ruth for your posts of beauty in pictures and words, reflecting the light of Jesus who lives inside of you.

  10. I never get tired of your photographs and these are amazing. I have never seen so many decortations in one place both outside and inside. I was also very impressed that they had a large Nativity display and that they had the Bible and were reading from it. No matter how many times some people try to get rid of the Bible, the WORD will always be there.

  13. I love it all! I would have gone crazy with my camera there. I like to do so many 'different perspective" shot of the same things and there was so much to work with there! That's in Tennessee, right? Might have to plan a trip one day!

  17. You take such beautiful photos, Ruth, that I couldn't tire of seeing them. I have been away from the computer more lately, so I'm going back to see posts I might have missed. The Nativity and Bible reading was wonderful to see and read about. I couldn't help but wonder tho how many complaints they've had about them. It just grieves my soul to think of all the damage the God-haters can do and are allowed to do by people who won't stand up to them. Okay, I'll get off my soapbox now.
    Have a wonderful weekend!
