Buds and Blossoms On My Yard

With the month of June done,I can say that I am officially on a two month break from bus driving. What will I do with my time? Perhaps I can sit and enjoy the flowers on my yard,or take my cameras out for an adventure.

Today I share with you flowers that are ,or have bloomed on my yard this spring. If you were to come to see them in person,I would offer you a cup of tea or coffee, but since I can't do that from a distance,I just say,'Thanks' for stopping by my blog to see what I have to share.

I have one Mock Orange shrub, that is usually loaded with flowers like this each spring.

The Lantana I planted in a pot on my deck is doing very well.

These Peonies bloom for a short time in spring, but when they do,they are gorgeous.

The soft and simple shape of the Peony bud is exquisite.

This is a small corner on my deck.I love watching the birds come for a bath or a drink, surrounded by bright flowers.

To the left of the Lantana in the photo above is this bright pink Geranium.Yes,I know that these colors all don't match or even coordinate, but I enjoy them all and so do the birds and insects.

Closing thought:
Friends are God's way of taking care of us.

  1. I like your water feature, that is a nice treat for the birds and for people too. I have a big lantana plant too growing in a half wine barrel.

  2. Do I recall correctly that the Mock Orange is quite fragrant?? These are all beauties! Our courtyard is all in bloom too and the residents love being out there! Some amazing 80 year old volunteers keep this garden in great shape! There are perennials here that are offspring of the ones I brought from my house when I first started working here 29 yrs. ago!! So great to see them thriving still!

  8. All of your flowers are beautiful and, I'm sure, give you great enjoyment during the blooming months. The fountain and flowers on the deck must give you hours of pleasure, just watching the birds and bees enjoying them with you.

  9. I have pick and white peonies. I do enjoy their blossoms, but when it rains, they become so very top heavy and then lay on the surrounding plants. Your flowers are delightful, and I really like the little water fall and pond. I would be a special place to sit and watch the birds, for sure.

  11. I love your fountain/bird bath!! I need to look for one.I think I need to revamp my garden and move to containers. Contained and not overgrown/overrun with weeds is what's needed. I love your bright colors and I'm sure they attract lots of visitors! Enjoy your time off!

  24. Oh how I love your bird bath... That picture is awesome --with the water surrounded by flowers.... Love Lantana --but have never grown them here. I also love peonies --but don't grow them since they are so heavy and always seem to have their heads down once they bloom.... BUT--they are gorgeous.

    Hugs,
    Betsy
