A Lamp To My Feet and A Light To My Path

I will take you back a month or more and share a few pictures taken then.

The Black-capped Chickadee is a year round favourite for me.If I could have only one bird around the yard,I would choose this one.Thankfully,I don't have to limit it to one bird.I do like the variety of birds that pass through my yard.
This little fella was sitting on the inside of my deck railing, while I was sitting only a few feet away from him.Isn't he/she adorable?

I don't often take pictures of the squirrels, simply because I really don't like them around my house. This squirrel was just too cute to pass up.He sat there for the longest time,so I had to get a picture.

I do love looking up to see what treats I can find in the sky.A jetliner passes overhead, among the scattered clouds.

I love reflections and these are exceptional.I love the wavy branches. This was taken at St.Vital Park in Winnipeg.

Last but certainly not least.I had purchased a small bouquet of flowers and decided to place them on Jake's open Bible.I do like how it turned out.

Your word is a lamp for my feet,
a light on my path
(Psalms 119:105 NIV)

  8. Your photography is a gift.

I have given up. I guess that's a talent I don't have. Maybe this winter I can practice a lot. I seem to get better pictures with a Power Shot than with my Rebel. Oh, well.

Keep 'em coming. I truly enjoy the beautiful pictures. Thank you.

  14. All of these are so lovely, Ruth. We have many of these little chickadees too and I love seeing them along with all the others. Right now for some reason the squirrals are mainly what I see when I look out...not sure where all the cardinals took off to. They are always around all year long. Maybe they got tired of eating the leftovers from the squirrels...we have SO many of those critters!

  23. The Black-capped and Chestnut-backed Chickadee, both always at the feeder! I too am annoyed at the squirrels who come to the feeder and empty it. :P
