The Vibrant Greens of Early Summer

Once again I take you back to 2014.These pictures were taken in June of 2014,but the beauty is timeless.

A large, rolling pasture is home to a small herd of cattle. We can't see any in this picture, but I have seen them on other occasions.I think they have plenty of good food.

The Ferns growing on my yard look so pretty in their early stages.Unfortunately they lose some of that beauty as the summer rolls along.

Each new leave is bright and clean when summer begins.I love that time of year.

The dark trunk of the Maple tree is a nice contrast to the lush green leaves.

A summer shower means a walk around the yard to capture the raindrops clinging to the tips of the evergreens.

Closing Thought:
Happiness isn't about getting what you want all the time.
It's about loving what you have and being grateful for it.

  3. love those droplets. we were discussing the neon green of our neighbors maple tree, it is about half full of new leaves and when the sun hits are lime colored. i have a passion for trees and another passion for ferns, all types of ferns. these are beautiful.

  13. Have a great weekend and thanks so much for your comments on my blog. I love all the photos but especially the last one with the droplets. I think it is a great idea to visit some of our photos from the past. I am thinking of revisiting some of my older photos also. Some of my first blogs were so much better than I do now! cheers.

  14. So nice to see the bright greens of summer, especially since we awoke to about an inch of snow on this lovely spring day. Great quote, too.

  15. Great set of shots, Ruth. I am running behind on my blogs/FB messages... We have been so busy since getting home yesterday afternoon. As I always say: "We need a vacation to get over the vacation"...... ha ha ...

Love the first green colors in Spring... I saw some ferns growing out of moss hooked to a big tree in the Smokies... Of course I HAD to take a picture. I'll share it sometime.

    Thanks for sharing.
    Hugs,
    Betsy

  18. I can't wait to see spring's new growth! Yes, the snow is rapidly disappearing, but in its place is dry brown grass and bare trees. A few more weeks.....
