Loons on Lake Minniwasta

About a month ago I spent a morning at Lake Minniwasta, but I wasn't there alone.
I had some Common Loons entertaining me. They were not as close as I would have liked but it was better than I've had them before.
I have no further descriptions,so enjoy the photos.

Closing Thought:
Happy the soul that has been awed by a view of God’s Majesty.

  4. I have enjoyed the haunting sound of the loon, as I sat in the quiet evening, waiting for my guides to settle for the evening, at Guide Camp many years ago. Beautiful.

  6. I love seeing LOONS... Not sure I've ever seen one except in pictures... I remember my blog friend, Shelley, talking about seeing them in her area of Upper Michigan... AND --one of my favorite movies was "On Golden Pond" --where they talked about them, and I heard their 'song'.... Gorgeous birds... Thanks for sharing.

  10. When I lived in Canyon Lake, CA they had an over-abundance of coots. Every year they would have a coot shoot to thin the herd, but I had to go away that day to avoid it as it saddened me.
