Farewell to August,Hello to September

We are at the point where we say goodbye to August 2016 and welcome to September 2016.
Before we leave the summer behind I want to share a few more flowers and then end this post with some sunsets.

The small, brightly coloured flowers of the Lantana are always a bright spot on my deck.

I used to not care for Geraniums, but in recent years I have come to really like them. They are easy to grow and bloom for a long time.

Be it pink ones, like the previous picture or these red ones, nestled in among the blue Lobelia.

I treated myself to a new Iris this past spring. This is a type of Siberian Iris.I was pleasantly surprised by this flower.

Now for some sunset pictures and a few quotes to go with them.

Where God does not rule,He overrules.

There are times in life when the only place we can find hope or joy or peace is in the presence of God.

When we do what is right,we have contentment, peace and happiness.

Earth is crammed with heaven.

People see God every day, they just don't recognize Him.

Just a personal word:
Thank you to each one who is following my blog.I truly appreciate all of you.
I may not reply to each comment, but I love to read them and they do encourage me.
I look forward to hearing from you and also to visiting your blogs,as I can.

  3. Didn't plant any Lantana's this year but sure like how they keep on flowering all summer as do the geraniums. This year I tried a red & white flower theme & that worked well until quite a few self seeding flowers started to bloom & now it's a free for all & colourful.

  4. What a truly wonderful and special post!! Starting with your beautiful header!! Just a lovely surprise. I don't care for geraniums either. Until I saw your color. How beautiful! I have never seen them in this color. And the large red flowers with the tiny blue lobelias is a gorgeous combination. SIBERIAN iris!? I have never heard of such a thing. They are shorter for sure. Love the color on this one. Beautiful sky pictures! My favs are the last two ones of the sun.
