Summer Sunshine

We have had a lack of sunshine recently, so I decided to create a little of my own.Looking back at some of the garden delights of summer is almost like walking in sunshine.
Each of the quotes featured today are taken from a perpetual calendar called,"The Beauty of Friendship".

The greatest gift we can give one another is rapt attention to one another's existence.
Sue Atchley Ebaugh

A glad heart makes a cheerful countenance…..A cheerful heart has a continual feast.
Proverbs 15:13,15

Life is not intended to be simply a round of work, no matter how interesting and important that work may be.A moment's pause to watch the glory of a sunrise or a sunset is soul satisfying, while a bird's song will set the steps to music all day long.
Laura Ingalls Wilder

Whatever one possesses becomes of double value when we have the opportunity of sharing it with others.
Bouilly

God wants to continually add to us, to develop and enlarge us— always building on what He has already taught and built in us.
A.B.Simpson

Closing Thought:
And since I have no gold to give,
And love alone must make amends,
My only prayer is, while I live——
God make me worthy of my friends.
Sherman

  3. These are glorious! Love the purple fall grass! I recognize the spider plant, but nothing else.Your butterfly shot is gorgeous! And he even picked a flower to match his wings. Beautiful fall header! I think my favorite may be looking at the yellow leaves through the window.

  5. Beautiful reminders of summer, Ruth. Unfortunately, all I have to do is go outside and be reminded...it is in the 80's today, once again! I want my fall weather back...and I think maybe it will return tomorrow :)

  19. Each photo is just so pretty it's hard to choose a favorite, but if I had to I'd probably choose the butterfly. Love the quote by Laura Wilder. I love her writing/thoughts and really enjoyed visiting her home down in Mansfield MO where she did most of her writing at a very small desk. Have a nice weekend!
