Winter As I See It

As much as I would like to think that we are done with the coldest part of winter,I am also realistic, knowing that we can still get more cold and lots more snow.
Since we are still in the winter season,I will share some more of my recent winter photos.
I hope you find one or two that you like and I trust that the quotes I share will speak to you as well.

Learn to appreciate what you have, before time make you appreciate what you had.
Below— Male House Finches on my yard.

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back,it simply means that you are two steps ahead of them.

Just remember, even your worst days only have twenty-four hours.

Some of you will recognize this place. This is at Lake Minniwasta, near Morden.I have taken photos here in many different seasons and weather.

A scene from my yard.
Just remember that, in prayer,God hears more than your words— He listens to your heart.

Thanks for sharing a few minutes of your time with me, here on this page.
Let's meet here again, real soon.

  6. Those little house finches look so cold. You can't help wondering how such tiny and fragile creatures can survive our cold winters. The photos are beautiful and the quotes inspiring and thought-provoking.

  8. You have outdone yourself, these pictures are gorgeous!! And I love he first quote, how true! We need to savor and appreciate the present. The first picture is beautiful, it looks edited to be black & white with just a pale touch of rose color. Two and three are my next favorites.

  14. Beautiful pictures Ruth. It looks very chilly, but such beauty as the snow clings to the tree branches. I especially like the quote about prayer, and am thankful for the truth in it.

  15. my favorite photo today is the last one, just love it. my favorite quote is the first. it fits what I was thinking of this morning while having my first cup of coffee. appreciate what I have. and the things I was thankful for are seeing, hearing, walking... they are things I would not want to be without and they can be gone in a flash. I am excericsing more and eating less to keep those things

  21. Hi Ruth, I’ve been taking a short break from the blogosphere and this morning looking to see what’s happened on blogs I follow. When I clicked on Ruth’s Photo Blog I broke out with a big smile. Well, once again you have a great header for January and then some excellent winter photos. Your quotes are always a great addition. Just an excellent post, and thank you, as always, for sharing! PS Hard to pick a favorite photo in this post, but possibly, if I had to, the next to last shot at Lak Minniwasta. The way you framed up the tree is just perfect!
