The Love Of God

February is the month of love and on the 14th many tokens of love are exchanged.
Now,whether you have a sweetheart at your side or you celebrate that day by yourself,as many of us do, one love never changes.The Love of God will endure forever.
All photos were taken within the last month or two, except the last flower one.That one goes back to the summer of 2017. The Snowy Owl was fairly recent and with the help of Steve,I was able to get this shot.I am very thankful for this opportunity.
Now to the words of the old song The Love Of God. May these words bless you today.

The love of God is greater far
Than tongue or pen can ever tell;
It goes beyond the highest star,
And reaches to the lowest hell;

The guilty pair, bowed down with care,
God gave His Son to win;
His erring child He reconciled,
And pardoned from his sin.

When hoary time shall pass away,
And earthly thrones and kingdoms fall,
When men who here refuse to pray,
On rocks and hills and mountains call,

God’s love so sure, shall still endure,
All measureless and strong;
Redeeming grace to Adam’s race—
The saints’ and angels’ song.

Could we with ink the ocean fill,
And were the skies of parchment made,
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
And every man a scribe by trade;

  1. To write the love of God above
    Would drain the ocean dry;
    Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
    Though stretched from sky to sky.

Oh, love of God, how rich and pure!
How measureless and strong!
It shall forevermore endure—
The saints’ and angels’ song.

  10. I love the second image, with the old barn. And the snow owl shot is so beautiful, with that blue sky behind the owl. I've been told that one or more snowy owls have been seen in our area but, sadly, not by me. "The Love of God" is one of my all-time favorite hymns. My favorite verse is the one about draining the ocean dry. Thanks for sharing it here today.
