Very pretty post Ruth. Makes me think that maybe I better put more out for the birds. As cold as it it they haven't even visited their feeders.
I echo your sentiments on feeding god's creatures ruth! Beautiful post!
I like your grape vine feeder. I have some grape vine wreaths that I made a few years ago. They would be perfect. Thanks for the idea.A wonderful and Blessed Christmas Ruth to you and all your family.Becky and Gary
very beautiful Ruth. Thank you for your kind words about Justin. It is such a joy to get the kids excited about nature and photography.
Very nice post, Ruth. Betsy is giving peanut butter to visitors to her feeders and the birds sure seem to enjoy it.
Hi Ruth, Your birdies LOVE your feeders. You have as many Siskins as we do I think!!!!! Love the post.Hugs,Betsy
Beauitful! What a wonderful idea that grapevine wreath is! It appears to be very popular. God is good to give us all these wonderful birds for our enjoyment. Merry Christmas!
I like your grapevine feeder. I need to make one of those but have been having such a time since my back surgery in Oct. that I can't do very much. I have a grapevine I could cut back but haven't been able to do that. I love all your pictures and enjoy seeing others feed the birds like I do. I saw several Robins yesterday but the poor things couldn't find any worms in the 20ºfrozen ground. I don't have a heated birdbath put I went out several times and put fresh water on top of the ice in two pans I use in the wintertime for that. They kept coming in drinking water after feeding. Doesn't do me much good to grab my camera as when one of our dogs sees me pick it up she goes running out her doggie door thinking I am going outide, scares the bird off. Helen
It is so nice to see that you are sharing with our wildlife friends. What a treat it must be for them to find food in winter and it never ends.
Beautiful! Have a wonderful Christmas!
What a lovely thing to do for your birds. I'm sure they appreciate you looking after them.
You have lots of visitors to your yard, and some great feeders there Ruth :-)
And sometimes they even let us photograph them. That is sometimes, but I feed them even if they won't let me close enough to photograph. Still enough seeing them.
I'm so happy to have found your blog! I love the grapevine wreath idea and if you don't mind I'm going to use it! It will be perfect to hang on my makeshift bird feeding station, (the swing frame, minus the swing). I love feeding the birds in the winter and try to get them as close to the house as possible!
Ruth bless you..our feathered friends need our help during such severe weather!I also throw out pieces of crunchie peanut butter sandwiches!May the Spirit of Christmas leaves its blessings on the hearts of you and yours! hugs NG
Merry Christmas Ruth! Don't you just love taking care of these precious creation? Oh, and I saw 2 robins here yesterday! Seems way too early, but I was delighted! Hugs to you!
