Fall Colors From the Past

It is officially fall and so I want to share some fall colours with you.
Where I live the colours are just beginning,so I have gone back to the archives,Jake's slides, and found some pictures to share.
I believe that whether these were taken 40 years ago or yesterday, the beauty remains the same.

Once again,I am not sure just where many of these were taken,so all we can do is enjoy the scenes.

I do believe that all of these pictures were somewhere in southern Manitoba.

I added this one because of the reflection of a fall colored tree in the water.
This is a female Wood Duck

This is perhaps somewhere near the Pembina Valley.
This valley is located west of Morden and is a popular place for a Sunday afternoon drive, especially in fall.

I am pretty sure this picture is not that old,but still from the slide era. This was taken on our yard here in Morden, which would make it close to 20 years old.

I am slowly trying to post Jake's slide pictures.
Many I have used before, but I want to try to get to the rest,so there will be more posts like this.

Thought for today:
May this fall's blessings remind you of our Father's boundless love.

Great timing with the photos! Sometimes those beautiful colors change overnight or a wild wind wastes the leaves! Thanks so much for sharing Jake's photography with us! Very special!

I am so thankful for that Love..
Ruth, these are absolutely beautiful. Our Falls are not quite as vibrant in color as the ones that you all have....
Would love to see those colors someday...

Shug

Oh, Ruth, I hope there will be LOTS more posts like this!!! The fall colors in your photos are fabulous and that last pic of the leaves is "priceless"--absolutely perfect. Maybe Fall just became my favorite season-I'm so fickle!!! Have a lovely week. Mickie :)

All of these are so beautiful. Jake took fantastic photos, back when it wasn't as easy as it is now with the digital technology. I always enjoy when you share his work with us.

Jake was truly an artist with the camera. He saw things that others often miss, and noticed all the joyous beauty that God has given us. I especially like the duck with the great reflection, double duck!

Wow Ruth - these are gorgeous ! Creation's beauty never grows old. Who can replicate handiwork like this ? And all for our pleasure. Who can possibly see the transformation in autumn and deny the Creator's existence and faithfulness ?

Have a wonderful week.

These are all stunning photos, Ruth, a tribute to Jake. I love the bright fall colors that you get there in Manitoba. Often we have a fall with only slightly changed colors, and then in other years the colors are brilliant....it depends on how cold it gets.

These are beautiful, Ruth. I always marvel at the detail that comes through from Jake's old film photos that have had to be converted to digital and scanned into the computer. He really had an eye for photography.

Beautiful fall colours and photos! Not much is changing here yet. Feels right cold out there this evening and it is clear so we just might get our first frost.
