In Canada we celebrate Thanksgiving in October.
I know that in the US you celebrate it in November.
The month or time of year really is not the most important, but rather that we take time to give thanks or have an attitude of gratitude.
Steve and Linda over at [express} life have decided to use the month of October to show gratitude for the things and people they love.
I encourage you to go over to their site daily and check out their list of gratitudes.
I also want to spend time focusing on the things for which I am thankful.
I may not be posting daily, but in my heart this is going to be a month of thankfulness. Won't you join me?
Give thanks to the Lord.

This is a great idea. We have so very much for which to be thankful. Right now I'm thankful for this gorgeous picture that you've shared with us.
Love this idea Ruth! October is going to be a VERY busy month with our preparations to move at the end of the month. I do want to join you to focus on being thankful every day - every day of the year - but specifically in October!! Love this photo of yours!
Your picture and frame are beautiful! I had no idea about Canada's Thanksgiving. We need to have thanksgiving all year round, I try to.
thats a pretty picture ruth...we all have so much to be thankful for.
have a wonderful weekend!!
Yes. I'm trying to learn to give thanks in all things. Thanks for the invitation Ruth. P.S. Your hair looks beautiful! Diane
I'm wondering when the British have their Thanksgiving. We used to have Harvest Thanksgiving in the churches, but it was really a religious festival, which is fine by me but that leaves a lot of people to do their thanksgiving elsewhere, if at all.
Such pretty fall colors!
What a lovely idea Ruth. I don't limit giving thanks to just one month month of the year. I render thanks for every day of my life, no matter how hard life is, there is always something we can give thanks for.
It is great that you have much to be thnkful for.
What a lovely picture Ruth. May your October be a wonderful month of Thanksgiving. I look for things to be thankful for every day, and I look forward to celebrating Thanksgiving in Nov too. It's a wonderful holiday.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. Much to be thankful for, eyesight for one as we can see the beauty of this Fall season.
I would love to have it in October then the holidays would not be so close together. But everyday we should give thanks to GOD.
what a sweet idea. we all have so much to be thankful for, and sometimes just need a little reminder to do it...
There is so much for each of us to be thankful for and one for me is to cherish the friendsips I've made in Blogladia! You Ruth are one of my cherished blessings. You were there as were many during my time of needed prayer when I went through several journeys with cancer. Blessing to you dear friend.
love and light Anna xo
I like the frame around your photo. Did you do this from a specific program or from a website?
