Sunday Afternoon Drive

What to do on a sunny,Sunday afternoon in winter? I know, grab my camera and head out of town. There must be something worth capturing.
That is exactly what happened a week or two ago.Just me and my camera, heading out of town to see what we could find.

I did't have to go far to find some scenes worth capturing.

Some snow has already melted, but there is still enough to create a contrast.

The varied shapes of these old trees caught my attention.

Off in a pasture,I saw this shack surrounded by trees. I think this may be a storage shed or may not even be used at all.It did help to make an interesting scene.

Some of my readers will recognize this scene. I have taken pictures here before,in other seasons.

Thanks for joining me on yet another ride in the country,my country, southern Manitoba.
If you are willing, we can do this again, maybe next time we can see touches of new green growth, and if not, then we will find beauty in whatever lies before us.

Closing Thought:
The more you give, the more you get—
The more you laugh, the less you fret.

Beautiful white blanket views of your area! Please send some of your snow to us on the front range in Colorado, Ruth. We have not had much moisture at all this winter and everything is so dry and a fire danger.

Our winter has been so different from yours. We've had only one significant snow, and that was in December and has been long gone. Your pictures today, although snowy, do show signs that the snow is receding. Can spring be far behind? Love your closing thought.

Hi Ruth, So glad you went on the Sunday drive, took along the camera, and are sharing these shots with us. I’ve said it before and will say it again: You just have an excellent eye for what makes an excellent photo! The first one, love the snow, the fence, the open space, and the sky. And then the third one, the shapes of the old trees … a very nice shot! I enjoyed all of them! Thank you for sharing, Ruth!

Beautiful!!! I always enjoy your Sunday Drives!!!
That storage shack image reminds me of the TV series LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE. Dunno why, but it does.

the rumor around here is snow is in our forecast ... now weather, the whether ( i know, i know) i did reserve the weathers/whethers ... but just did it for fun!! here we go again ... no whether the weather is going to have snow tomorrow we are unsure. but it will be fun to see. i know when i got to the grocery store today it was nuts. i had to go to 2 different places to get any milk. it is so wild how they do this. i think they do it to get folks to spend money. just saying!! ha. ha!! have a great week!! big big hugs!!
