The problems that we face each day
Can seem too much to bear
Until we turn our eyes to Christ
And trust His tender care.
Sometimes words fail.It is during times like this that I will allow the words that others have written to speak for me.
I had picked these pictures a long time ago, but as I looked at them today,I somehow thought they were fitting.
I know that some of you are going through dark times. It seems that the storms of life are almost overwhelming. One of my dear friends and a friend to many of you is right now facing a difficult loss.
Betsy, this post was made with you on my mind.
There comes into every person's life a time when the dark clouds of despair and sorrow are on the horizon and even almost on top of us.
God is the One who makes it well with your soul,
I have often seen so much beauty in the sky and even a dark and stormy sky can have beauty.
Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it.
When the storm clouds of life gather we can't see the beauty, but I can say from experience that God can turn a dark experience into a time of drawing closer to Him and that in itself becomes a blessing.
One thing is certain, dark skies and dark times in our life do not last forever.
When the storm clouds have passed and the rain has fallen, the beauty is all around us.
As we remember the ones who left us much too soon, tears fall.Let's just remember that,
both tears and smiles bring God praise.
To Betsy and any others who are going through storms of any kind, it is my prayer that God will give you the strength you need for every day.May He hold you in His loving arms and give you the needed peace.
Closing Thought:
I was thinking of you today and prayed for you today…
I asked that whatever you need will be answered in God’s time,
and that you have the strength and endurance to keep going.

Thank you Ruth! Such beauty from our loving heavenly Father captured by you!
Betsy's news was indeed so sad. Your storm pictures have such a fierce and dark beauty!! What is the pink and yellow flower? It is so pretty, looks like tiny balloons.
Thank you, Ruth.. such beautiful, comforting thoughts in the midst of life storms... and the pictures are beautiful, like they always are! <3
THank you so much for your beautiful post,Ruth.

Prayers for Betsy and for others who are grieving... these photos and words are perfect and also very true.
Tears tears tears... Thanks Ruth so much for this... This is probably the hardest thing I have ever gone through.. For a mother listening to her son crying all week has to be the hardest... I want to take away the pain but cannot. Thanks be to God for helping me and the family...
Thanks again. This post means the world to me..
Love,
Betsy
Betsy news is sad. One taken so young but your words and photos on this post shouldbe a comfort.
Oh those skies are so very dramatic.
Don't do FB so didn't know about Betsy.
Your words mean much to me too with my mom dying this past week.
Well I thought I was the only one who was being lazy...it seems I am in good company. My flowers are beginning to wither and my tomatoes are nearly toast although they still seem to be putting out a few new ones. I am longing for that first kettle of soup and wearing my socks...I'm ready for fall! Enjoy your time away and see you in September. Hey, didn't someone write a song about that?? Hugs!

Hi Ruth, When I see a post like this it brings home to me how lucky I have been to make your acquaintance through the blogosphere. You have a unique ability to put your photography together with spiritual encouragement. I feel your posts are a special blessing and reading your thoughts and viewing your photography is a real pleasure. Kindest regards to you from my part of the world. John
Your chosen words today lifted my spirits Ruth!
Thanks for that, and thanks for such beautiful storm images....they give us strength beyond our own vision if you know what I mean.
Beautiful thoughts and something to remind us of God's healing and care Ruth. Your photos are the perfect accompaniment.

This is one of the most beautiful posts I have ever read. Ever!
Words cannot express my thoughts while reading your blog and comments. So beautiful-pictures awesome and words outstanding. I'm crying and can't seem to stop. Thank you so very much Ferree and Ruth for making this available to me. I am very grateful and blessed to have you in my life. God Bless All!

This is beautiful, thanks so much
The pictures and the words were all so beautiful! We do have to look for the light that shines even in the darkest hours. We had a terrible storm here at the lake where I live then afterwards we were blessed with a radiant sunset that blazed across the sky!!! I felt like God was saying, "Even after the storm there comes the light!"
I am so blessed to live at such a peaceful place where I see God's beauty day and night. It has helped me through many a dark day and night these past 4 1/2 years since my soul mate of 52 years left me!
Thank you for the pictures and the words.
