The temperatures have been above freezing for a few days now, the snow is almost all gone,BUT that may all change later today.We,in southern Manitoba are under a snowfall warning.Only time will tell if we get any snow and if so, how much. What to do while we wait?
I invite to look back, with me at a few winter scenes taken in recent months.
I love the sights when we've had a good hoarfrost.
The frost makes even the weeds look lovely.
These guys blend in well.
I am impressed with the patterns in the snow.To think that this has been caused by nothing but the wind.
Just to add some bright color,here is a Hibiscus from last summer.This one was blooming at the English Gardens in Winnipeg.

Sometimes when winter lingers longer than we like, it is easy to feel depressed, but I challenge you to think on the following words.
You were never created to live depressed,defeated,guilty,condemned,ashamed or unworthy.
You were created to be victorious.
As I finish this post it is snowing fairly hard outside.We will likely wake up to a winter wonderland tomorrow.

i appreciate the seasons!! if we lived in an area without seasons, we would not enjoy the beauty of fall, summer flowers, or spring bulb flowers!!! winter is beautiful but i am ready for a change. the frost is gorgeous ruth, i never see it that way in this area!!!
the weather map shows a whole 80 million people in the path of the snow storm, and that is USA and of course all of Canada. hope it doesn't pile to high. i always enjoy your hoarfrost phtotos. they are magical

Late winter storms are often the worst with their heavy, wet snow. I do hope it all melts away quickly for you though, and you can enjoy Spring temperatures. We're still stuck just around 0C here for the past little while. The birds are very active now and the feeders are empty by the end of each day. Enjoy your week!

Oh, I love the shot of the deer. Hope you're able to stay inside and enjoy the snow through the windows. We're expecting about an inch tonight. That won't even cover the grass.

Hoarfrost makes everything so beautiful. I haven't seen it here this winter, but then we haven't had above 2 inches of snow all winter long. I probably shouldn't say that, because we could still get a big snow! I remember one of our biggest snows many years ago was in April. Loved your closing thought. One that should be painted on a plaque or printed and framed.

You always have gorgeous winter shots. We don't get that much frost and so don't have the opportunity to get these kinds of captures. Love your quote at the end...so true...
I like the feeling of an oncoming storm. Don't know why, call me weird. My mother did, too She would cook and stock up and get the house ready. We lived in Buffalo, at the foot of the mountains so you could see the storm coming. Some of my favorite times. Stay warm, Ruth. Diane
