Wild and Wonderful

This features some recent animal sightings.
I wish these animals would learn to cooperate with me better, but since they don't,I have to be satisfied with what I get.

This is the time of year that the White-tailed Deer are making more and more appearances. They usually come out when the sun is almost down so light is not in my favour.

OOOPS! Don't want to get too close to this one. The Porcupine has very few enemies and that is for good reason.

The Mama to these, must have been busy.I don't often see triplets, so this was a special sighting.

Sometimes even the animals get hot and look for a way to cool off.

Mama and baby, posing for me.

Something To Think About:
Those who walk with God,always reach their destination.

  2. I have never seen a porcupine in the wild. The baby deer are so cute! In a few weeks, the deer will be in rut, a dangerous time here. More and more run across the road, many are hit. Especially on the interstate, which is lined with woods, there are damaged cars and dead deer.

  3. Like Ginny, I've never seen a porcupine in the wild. It's so great that you not only saw one but got a photo of it. I love that first shot of the deer. Your whitetail deer seem a bit larger than ours. They look to be in good condition, even with babies needing to be fed.

  14. Great group of critters... As much as we struggle trying to keep the deer away from our flowers, I still love them. We probably have them here, but I have never seen a porcupine around our area... We have lots of Chipmunks and Squirrels --and I've also seen Rabbits, Ground Hogs, ---and even those stinky "black and white kitties (Skunks)...

    Loved seeing the triplets.
    Hugs,
    Betsy
