Signs of Fall

It is only the middle of September, but all signs point towards fall.
I'm OK with that.Fall brings cooler temperatures, colorful leaves, even if only for a short time.
Warm sweaters and cozy blankets. Yes,I really do enjoy fall.
I even enjoy those chilly, rainy days.

Today we will look at some of the early signs of fall in Southern Manitoba.
These pictures are all taken several weeks ago,so we are much further into the fall scene by now.

Ok,so this may or may not be a sign of fall, but those white clouds in a blue sky are always pretty.

Blooming Goldenrod is a sign that fall is on our doorstep and about to enter. I think this is a lovely flower/weed.

A friends apple tree was loaded with these small, but pretty apples.I'm not sure they are edible, but they sure do look attractive.

Touches of fall color can be seen here and the fields are showing that golden color as well.

Golden fields, freshly harvested and already the straw has been baled. To me this is a simple but lovely scene.

The trees around Lake Minniwasta are certainly showing color.

Looking down,I see a golden leaf amoung the grass.

Another shot of Lake Minniwasta and some yellow leaves.

Purple Asters put on quite a show in fall.

Another Goldenrod,in a later stage of its bloom.

Something To Think About:
Falling leaves are simply summer’s way of saying good-bye.

What wonderful and gorgeous pictures. The Goldenrod color is so deep and vibrant! And the apples...I do think they are pomegranates. Do you think? I have never seen a pomegranate tree on a blog! I love the long winding road, and beautiful fields!

You ARE seeing quite a bit of fall color already. I, too, love fall. I just dread what comes after it. :) Beautiful photos. I especially love the one of the harvested field and round bales.

Very Beautiful, Ruth! Our high elevation has already given Colorado lots of fall color. I'm enjoying taking road trips to see it all as Autumn is my favorite season.

Thank you dear Ruth for sharing these lovely glimpses of fall starting in your area. I look forward to seeing more as the season progresses. It is still very hot and humid down here in s.e. FL.

Have a great week ~ FlowerLady

All of the photos are just beautiful. The blue sky is so pretty and I like the yellow goldenrod. Lots of it blooming here in my area too. Love that long windy road. I can see myself walking along it.

I imagine you're back driving the bus and seeing the changes of fall daily, Ruth. I've tried to start goldenrod on my property with no luck! I'd like it to attract butterflies.

Beautiful. My favorite this time around is the open field with the road cutting it in half. Reminds ne of the road trips in the country to my grandparents' farm.

The simple photo of the hay field is awesome!
Fall arrived quicker than I wanted, but, it comes whether we are ready or not. :}
September is always so pretty here, but October is not as pretty, it's a waiting month along with November for the arrival of winter.

Thank you for Sharing your beauty with us ♡

No Fall here in TN yet. In fact, to be Sept. 20--it is still very HOT and HUMID.

On our trip, we saw a lot of Fall colors --and loved seeing all of the yellow Aspens in bloom. SO beautiful.

Hugs,
Betsy
