Sunset Surprise

I know that at this point we all want to think spring, but while we are waiting for its full arrival I have some other winter like shots to share.

I went to Lake Minniwasta in hopes of watching a beautiful sunset. The sunset was good, albeit not the prettiest I've ever seen.

While waiting, my eyes were drawn to the snow banks between me and the lake. The setting sun was highlighting the edges so beautifully.

I enjoyed watching those last sunbeams play on the snow.

I'm always looking for that unique and special shot. This time it was right before my eyes, all I had to do was 'look'.

As I looked up, I was reminded why I went here in the first place. Yes, the sunset was pretty as well.

Something to Think About:
Every sunrise is God’s greeting, the sunset His signature.

You were blessed once again as you set out to enjoy another sunset. A setting sun can make many things beautiful, if only briefly. I'm not sure I'd have noticed its effect on the snow, but I'm glad you did.

I am always saying to keep your eyes open to even the smallest things and you can find beauty anywhere. My boyfriend tells me that I have certainly opened his eyes and he sees things he never even noticed ever before because of me. Awww!

Hi Ruth, This is the first time I've heard this and I love it ... "Every sunrise is God’s greeting, the sunset His signature." That is wonderful and so true. I am hoping you will be back to Lake Minniwasta many times in the months ahead to snap more photos for us. As always, thank you for sharing, Ruth, and thank you for all the kind comments on my blog. I have so appreciated your encouragement during my 31-day personal walk challenge. Take good care and have a fine rest of the weekend! John
