Clouds Part Two

We continue on with the theme of clouds.
The following are all taken the same evening as the previous post.
The variety of scenes, all seen in one evening is why I strongly encourage everyone to be aware of the beauty that is in the sky.

As the sun was setting the light became golden. That wonderful time of day when the world has a golden glow.

Always mindful that beauty is all around me, I once again turned around, facing eastward. The beauty was more subtle, but still amazing.

Slowly some dark clouds moved in and I was about ready to head for home, but I stayed just a little longer.

The sun, now had dropped below the horizon, but was till tinting those dark clouds with color.

The color intensified as I waited a few more minutes. Just look at that gorgeous coral color in these clouds. Had I left when I first thought it was all over, I would have missed this scene.

Something To Think About:

God writes the Gospel not in the Bible alone, but also on trees, and in the flowers and clouds and stars.

  2. the first is my favorite because it is just perfect and oh so beautiful. but the rest are gorgeous and so glad you stayed. when the sun is going down like that it goes so fast. the second photo has the light I love when in our back yard. but it is in the morning at sunrise, look to the east and the sun is coming UP but when I turn and look west that golden color is painting the tops of the trees, opposite of yours going down. that gold color just flows over the tops of trees and is amazing

  13. Hi Ruth, I think you will appreciate this ... Living in Seattle, people are always talking about how much it rains and how cloudy it is. But then, when we have a beautiful sunrise or sunset, they talk about how great our skies are. I wish these folks would be mindful of the fact that so often the clouds give us the beauty in the sky. The clouds are one of God's blessings. The evidence is in the beauty of your photos in this post. That golden glow in your first photo ... wow, just wonderful. And thank you for staying with it all the way through that last gorgeous sky. And I love that closing thought. Have a wonderful weekend and take good care. Best regards to you from Seattle! John
