More Winter Whites

This post continues with more frost covered trees and power lines.
The hoar frost adds beauty to almost anything it touches.

A simple barbed-wire fence takes on a new look when coated with frost.

No, the deer were not frost covered. They also were not in a photogenic mood, so this was the best I could do.

Power lines look like strings of narrow garland strung from pole to pole.

And everywhere I looked the trees were coated with the frost and looked like delicate lace structures.

Only the dark tree trunks created a little definition.

Closing Thought:
You were made to shine from the inside out.

  1. Oh this was fantastic, Ruth. And that shot of the deer is perfect! I love to see them run, and it isn't always easy to catch a good shot of them running. You did very well! These photos are amazing! And I love your closing thought! Perfect ending!!

  3. so true on the shining from within. the barb wire and the lines on the power poles would make stunning Christmas tree decorations.. of course the tree would have to outside in really cold weather.. I like the way the dark trunks show through...

  11. Your capturing the frost on the Barbed wire and Power lines are gorgeous.
I'm looking out the window at the bright blue sky and nary a cloud in sight...so different from your part of the world. We need rain and snow in the mountains so badly...wish you could share some with us.
