A Country Ride and A Song Of Prayer

Join me as we travel the roads of southern Manitoba. We will be enjoying the fall scenery and as we travel we can listen to a song called, 'Build Your Kingdom Here.'

I have included the words as we sang them in church this morning.

Build Your kingdom here

Let the darkness fear

Show Your mighty hand

Heal our streets and land

Set Your church on fire

Win this nation back

Change the atmosphere

Build Your kingdom here

We pray

Come set Your rule and reign

In our hearts again

Increase in us we pray

Unveil why we're made

Come set our hearts ablaze with hope

Like wildfire in our very souls

Holy Spirit, come invade us now

We are Your church

We need Your power in us

We seek Your kingdom first

We hunger and we thirst

Refuse to waste our lives

For You're our joy and prize

To see the captive hearts released

The hurt, the sick, the poor at peace

We lay down our lives for Heaven's cause

We are Your church

We pray revive this earth

Unleash Your kingdom's power

Reaching the near and far

No force of Hell can stop

Your beauty changing hearts

'Cause You made us for much more than this

Awake the kingdom seed in us

Fill us with the strength and love of Christ

We are Your church

We are the hope on earth

Build Your kingdom here

Let the darkness fear

Show Your mighty hand

Heal our streets and land

Set Your church on fire

Win this nation back

Change the atmosphere

Build Your kingdom here

We pray

We are Your church

We pray revive this earth

This is a hymn we do not know. I like the words. Gorgeous pictures, my favorites being the ones with the different gorgeous shades of green! Just as pretty as the fall golds and reds, but in a different way.

Oh, Ruth, that was beautiful! I've never heard that song before, but it is so fitting for today. Loved the pictures of the deer and the cow. What a beautiful ride you took! Thank you for sharing it with us...I felt like I was riding along and singing, although I don't know the tune. I will have to find that one. Have a beautiful week.

I have never been to Manitoba. I have been to BC and Alberta. Do you get much snow there? I see deer when we go to the coast here in Oregon. Lovely shots!

We sing that song in our church (or our living room watching via YouTube these days) and it has such a wonderful and powerful message. Your photos are gorgeous accompaniments to the words.

Oh, Ruth, these photos are wonderful. I knew they would be. I love the one of the cow drinking...don't ask me why. I suppose it take me back to younger years when we used to play in the creek and then we would get up on this big tree that had blown down...and would have a 'picnic' and watch the cows that walked under it and waded into the creek to drink.

Wonderful post, Ruth. I hope it touches many hearts. Thank you for sharing this.
