Never a lack of action at the marsh. Sometimes it is subtle action, but at other times the chase is on, with wings flapping and water spraying.
Some time ago, I had just such action to watch at The Discovery Nature Sanctuary.
The pictures may not always be perfect, but I enjoy the challenge of getting them.
Two male Mallards and one female are sure to cause a stir.
No sooner had the water settled, when a Canada Goose landed.
You will notice that in both pictures the goose has its bill open, obviously announcing its arrival.
Our attitudes are contagious, whether grumpy or grateful.
Let's choose our attitudes carefully.

Wonderful captures.
Oh these are terrific action shots!!
Lovely reflections of the geese as well,
Wonderful parting thought.
Good action shots! And perfect goose reflections!
Those are fun shots, Ruth. I always enjoy watching ducks land on the water. They look so ungainly until they swoosh right down and glide.
Hi Ruth... You did a really creat job at capturing these photos. I enjoy seeing pictures of water fowl as they are taking off from the water.. So pretty
Beautiful action shots Ruth. And love the quotation.
So very true about our attitudes being contagious I see that even with me and Bob if one of us the grumpy the other one gets grumpy if one is Happy the other gets happy most of the time. I think the thing I love the most about your photos today are the colors they're just absolutely gorgeous and so pleasing and calming. I'd love the ones that look like angel wings coming off their back. These are excellent photos
Oh, these are great photos! I love them all. And yes, the goose loves to announce his arrival! They also honk when they fly over our house. I think it is our couple who nested here saying hello to us! (it's a nice thought even if it isn't true. LOL). Happy Birthday to you today! Hope you are doing something special to celebrate!!
Love your words of wisdom for this day.
Let's Choose...
Love the photos of the birds, especially the goose announcing his arrival.

These photos are awesome! What wonderful photography. Enjoyed this posting very much.
Hi Ruth, I sure enjoyed your photos in this post. The Discovery Nature Sanctuary sounds like a great place to visit. I looked up the Nature Sanctuary on Google Maps and found it near Winkler. While looking at that I was fascinated by the town/city of Winkler. I’ll bet the people who live there really enjoy it. I used the “street view” and looked down a few of the streets … such nice, comfortable looking homes. Back here, I have found a ship on my walk down by our waterfront that I think you are going like. I will have some pictures of it in my next post. Very best regards to you from Seattle! John
