Bejeweled

Earlier in the year we had some rain, not a heavy rain, but just enough to decorate the plants.

When I saw what was happening, I gabbed my camera and headed outside.

The leaves of the Wild Rose on my yard, which are usually quite ordinary, suddenly became artwork.

Not to be outdone, the Honeysuckle shrub also was adorned with raindrop jewels.

Still the Honeysuckle, but from a different angle. beauty was everywhere.

Every little pine needle also shone with tiny jewels of rain.

When I turned around, I noticed that the young Oak leaves had perfect droplets on them.

This was one of those moments that I had a hard time knowing when to stop shooting.
So much beauty and just how could I capture it at its best.

Think About It;

In  photographs we stop time and enable the viewer to pay closer attention to the details of simple everyday occurrences we so easily walk by without seeing.

I have copied this from a friend,Valerie Acee

That quote is so true! These are absolutely amazing and they remind me of your photos that you take a frost and if it was cold enough these would be covered in Frost but I think I prefer the beauty of the droplets. I can't tell you how many times I take a picture outside and come in and look at it and zoom in on it and just am amazed at the details at the camera grabs and at the beauty of simple things like droplets on a leaf

Simply gorgeous...
You captured the droplets perfectly. They look like diamonds glittering.
I especially like the ones with the lacy drips around each leaf.

You and I really are kindred spirits! I LOVE to go outside after the rain and capture pictures of the "jeweled plants" with raindrops on them. Makes for some very interesting pictures and such beauty that we often miss if we aren't looking for it. Thank you for sharing this with us. I loved every drop of it!
