Special Post

The time has come to take a break from blogging. I don't know how long this break will be, or if it may be  permanent. I will be on Facebook and would love to interact with you there.

I am not shutting down this blog, just yet, but need to take some time to decide if or when I decide to come back here.

For a final set of pictures, at least for some time, I am sharing scenes from fall in Manitoba.

First is Lake Minniwasta at sunset.

The full moon is always lovely to look at and to photograph.

A thin cloud finger reaches over the moon to create a different look.

Color was not that great this past fall, but we did have some.

I am hoping that next year we will have abundant moisture and maybe more color.

Thank-you to each of you who enriched my life here in blogland. I cherish the friendships I have made and look forward to continuing those on Facebook.

Seeing as we are near Christmas Day, I also take this time to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a New Year filled with blessings.

We definitely connected in blogland with so many wonderful people, and then moved over to FB. So far, I still like it there; have blocked what I don't want, and participate in putting out there positive things the Lord gives me - same as you! Have a great retirement from the blog. Occasionally one can re-post on FB, old blog posts! That's always fun! Blessings to you for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Dear Ruth,
I totally understand this….I struggle with what to do to! I keep blogging very simply now and find when I do it, that it is so much easier than it was when I first started (or maybe I keep things simplified). Facebook, for those who use it is so much easier, but many people I know are not on it. A dilemma that is part of all the technology available. I am glad I can see your beautiful photos on Facebook!! I will certainly miss you. I don't do Facebook, so I guess this is a goodbye for me. Your friendship thru the years was treasured.

Be happy in all you do.

I don't do FB so won't be seeing you there.

Oh, Ruth, I am sorry to see you go. I know we each have to decide when it is time to do this, but I do enjoy your beautiful photography and scenery from your part of the world. Of course I hope to remain friends on FB, but will miss your interaction here.
Please take care and have a very blessed and Merry Christmas.

I am sorry to see you go. I prefer blogland and its friendliness to FB and its official censorship. As I tell friends, sometimes no means yes, in that if we say no to something we may find time to say yes to something else. Merry Christmas.

Ruth, your photos are always spectacular! I fully understand needing a blog break. I always take one around this busy time of the year. I hope you do continue now and then, but if not I will see uou on facebook. I always tell my husband that blogging has helped me make friends all around the world, and you are one of them! All my blog friends have enriched my life

I have a page on FB but rarely post or comment. sometimes i scroll and click like to let people know i saw it. I only do Fb to see what family memebers are will be missed and I do understand the work it takes to do the blog.. FB has to much squabbling and politics and every time i go there i see things that make me angry. i never get angry on the few blogs I follow. with the blog i choose who i want to see, on FB there is no choice and people seem to think their opinons MATTER, blogging is free of opinons.. I have enjoyed our friendship all these years.

I'll miss you Ruth, but I hope you continue on IG. I discontinued my Facebook. Though I blog less at this point, I plan to continue at least for the time being. Stay well - I'll miss checking in with you

it seems like our blogs have come to a place where it's hard to go on because of facebook, instagram etc. It's been nice blogging with you for these years and I'm sure we'll cross paths again. Thank you for sharing your life with me and all the best in the future. Merry Christmas to you and your family. Diane

I am sorry to hear this...I hope you find what is right for you. I will miss you here, but will see you elsewhere. I dont use FB much other than to click the like button. As you know I took a long blogging break this past summer. I am mostly good with blogging now. I am posting from the archives on one blog for the most bpart.

I, for one, am going to miss your posts with all the beautiful photos and inspiring verses and quotes. I'll try to keep up with you on Facebook, but I'm rather 'hit-and-miss' on FB. I hope you and your family have a very blessed and merry Christmas.

As you know, Ruth, I understand the need to break or even end blogging. You will be sorely missed in blogland, but Facebook is also a viable place in which to share your beautiful images. In every endeavor, I wish you God's best. Our mutual faith assures us that we will meet in person some, there, or in the air. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Hello Ruth, I am just now seeing your Wednesday post. As my grandmother would say, Goodness Gracious! If anyone deserves a nice long break it is you. You have shared so much wonderful photography with us. It has been a blessing for me to have found you in the blogosphere and be able to follow you for the last few years. I must tell you that I have been on the edge myself with regard to publishing my blog. I started regular posts in early 2011 and it is now 855 posts later. Lately it has been a challenge to put together a post every two weeks or so. The encouraging comments I get from those like yourself have kept me going. I am fortunate to have you as a friend on Facebook and will keep in touch with you there. Whether you decide to take a long break or call it a day in the blogosphere, I just hope you will do what gives you the greatest peace. God bless you Ruth! Merry Christmas! John

We are following each other on Insta. Do you stay there? And we are following also on FB.

Sharing one couplet:
Remember God's timing is not ours,
And the answers will come one day.
Nothing is too hard for God's powers,
So cheer up and trust God anyway!
