This is the time of year that photo opportunities are few, so I have to get creative to think of something to share. Usually, I share photos captured with my camera, but I decided that there are numerous iPhone photos that I could share. Some of these are not current, but that really doesn't matter.
I have heard it many times and also used it myself, the phrase, " The best camera to use is the one you have with you at the moment."
Well, the iPhone is always with me, so many times it is the best camera to use.
This is frost buildup on my heated birdbath. I know I have shared photos similar to this on Facebook, but I always find these scenes fascinating.
On a cold winter morning as the sun rises in the east, my view is obstructed by trees. This time I used my phone to capture the sunrise through the trees and focused on the pine bough up front.
A shopping trip often yields some photo opportunities. After washing the fruit and allowing it to air dry on the counter, I had to capture the moment.
When I go out with my camera, I make a habit of also getting some shots with my phone.
These frost covered branches against the blue sky sure caught my attention.
Scenes like this take my breath away. They are so beautiful, not because I took them, but because God created such tremendous beauty.
I trust that some of these pictures will inspire you to use that phone and capture the moment.
To God be the Glory!

I am so happy and thankful to have a phone that takes decent pics...lots of times when heading out with Roger, there will be something I want to take a pic of and I have my phone most of the time.
I always think God is the master artist...we do poor imitations. Your photos did a good job of capturing some of the beauty.
I find that snow and frost on the branches is almost mystical - love the look. Thanks for sharing
All lovely photos. My phone is the ONLY camera I have so and I take pictures with it every day. :)
i was hoping for just snow this storm. but sadly, it is icy out ...started as snow ... i guess the weather had other plans. glad to be able to stay safe and sound. take care. great post. ( ;
What glorious ice covered trees! And the birdbat frost is standing straight up, like frost flowers. But maybe my favorite is the pine with the sun in the background.
Not bad for photos from a phone. I don't have an iPhone.
Number 2 is my favorite, love the closeup. all the photos are amazing, and the cell can go a lot of places the camera doesn't. you have skills with both for sure. in fact your whole family has/had mad photography skills
The glory indeed! Absolutely stunning
You got some great pictures with your iPhone -- I like them all. I've given my camera to my daughter, so I'm using my iPhone exclusively for the time being. So far I'm happy with what I'm getting.
Those frosty images are so pretty. Have a great day, Ruth!
Phones take terrific photos. I use both my android and my camera.
Ruth, the sunrise photo with the pine needles and snow is spectacular. A framable one for sure.
Love the fruit still life too.
Hugs
Sue
The last is my favourite.
O Ruth, what an amazing nature art. The white trees.
the snow images are GORGEOUS!!! i would never think to use my phone!!
Wow! You've taken some really beautiful photos of the snow and frozen timber. Lovely pictures!
Your iPhone takes marvelous photos! I too rely more and more on my phone camera for those in-the-moment photos. It is amazing the quality that you can get now. I loved the pictures you shared. Beautiful pine cones, frosted trees, and lovely fresh fruit! I think capturing the little details in our lives is really special :) Many blessings!
Wonderful photos!! Your iPhone is quite good! But then again, you have an eye for the right photo! These are great. Wow, just so much beauty out there. Love it.
Beautiful photographs.
All the best Jan
Hi Ruth, I just don’t think I’ll ever get tired of your wonderful photography. These iPhone shots are special in their own way. Your skill as a photographer makes the lack of optical zoom on the iPhone a minor issue. Nice work! I looked at your photos for a while … thinking I would pick a favorite. But it’s not going to happen … they are all great! :-) Thank you for sharing your blog! John
Your iPhone took beautiful photos, Ruth! I especially loved the snow-filled branches against that bright blue sky as that s a sight I see often here. I have an android Samsung phone and use it more than my camera these days. It is just more convenient and auto-downloads into my computer so easier.
Such Beauty!
And what a Photographer's Eye, you have!
